Ikeena was my fourth Women's Initiative success story I photographed. She is a fellow southerner, so of course we hit it off right away. Chef Ikeena specializes in Organic Modern Soul Food. She told me stories about how she learn to cook from her grandmother in Louisiana. Because we were working with borrowed kitchen space at La Cucina, she made a simple salad for the shoot.
