Kristina & Mark [San Francisco Wedding Photography]

On my drive back from my Arkansas road trip I got a call from a friend in SLO. He wanted to let me know that our mutual friend Kristina was getting married in the city and I should come. It was pretty tight with getting back to the city and making it to the wedding but I worked it out. Kristina and Mark decided to do a midnight ceremony so that they would be married on 1/3/13. Basically we did everything in a normal wedding but out of order. They got dressed, had their first look and then went to dinner. After dinner we did some group portraits then had a "pop-up" ceremony in a secluded balcony of the Fairmont Hotel. Once they were hitched we went back down to the Tonga Room for a last drink and did one more Bride and Groom portrait session. On the way out the officiant signed the papers and the whole wedding was complete. Small weddings and elopements can be so fun because they are so intimate and its easy to be flexible with so few people to wrangle. This was a fun way to dip my toes back into weddings after my hiatus.
